STATEMENT: Some people mark their walks by mileage and time. I also mark mine by the animals I meet on my walks. I have always loved watching how animals--dogs, cats, horses, and, yes, birds--view their world. I enjoy the sheer delight of capturing the personality of the dogs who accompany their human companions on their walks as well as the many cats that will come and greet me or stare at me from their windows. 

I also have enjoyed the work of the Hollywood photographers of the 1930s and 40s, so I have done more formal photographs pets in black and white.
