STATEMENT:  In the "Red" series I took on the challenge of William Eggleston, who claimed, among other things, that photographing the color red was very difficult when producing the final print.  It interested me in seeing if, in fact, I could replicate what I witnessed, which I feel that I did.  The project became intriguing not just in searching for things red, but in making a photo of the color red as opposed to just taking a picture because red was present.  The series was started in the 1990s and is added to every year.  Red has captured my attention.
